Mark your calendars for the Lowe Syndrome Association’s 2027 Conference, coming to Long Beach, CA, from June 25–27, 2027.
This will be our first return to California since 2019 and our fourth time bringing the LSA family together in the Golden State.
California, Here We Come
With more than 20 LSA families based in California and several others in the surrounding states, we’re excited to make this conference easier to reach for families on the West Coast.
We Heard You
When selecting next year’s conference location, one of our top priorities was the feedback from our families. After considering many properties in California and Arizona, we selected the Long Beach Marriott Downtown for having the most ADA-accessible rooms of any property we reviewed. In addition, every guest room has a mini-fridge, and microwaves are accessible throughout the hotel. The hotel also has a pool, which we know is important to many families to cool off or blow off steam. The hotel was recently renovated and sits a couple of blocks from the water.
Several Airport Options
Long Beach sits within reach of three major airports, giving our families flexibility when it comes to booking flights:
Ready to Plan Your Trip?

Long Beach: There Is So Much Waiting for You
For many families, the LSA conference is one of the only trips they’ll take all year—and we want it to count. We have also heard from families who want to participate in another conference after many years to reunite with old friends. They are seeking a true vacation-type experience.
In addition to the beach and other coastal highlights, Disneyland is 20 minutes away. The Queen Mary, the Aquarium of the Pacific, Shoreline Village, and the restaurants and shops of downtown Long Beach are all within easy reach. While much of the country is typically deep into summer heat in late June, Long Beach stays mild—lows in the 60s, highs around 77°F, with a coastal breeze off the Pacific.
Stipend Program Returns
At the 2025 conference, the LSA supported 11 families through registration fee waivers and hotel assistance. Our stipend program prioritizes first-time attendees because we know how critical that first conference is – from access to Lowe syndrome experts to connecting with other families.
New this year, families requesting LSA stipend support to attend the 2027 Conference must fundraise for the 2026 Walk & Roll campaign to be eligible for a stipend — creating a Give Lively fundraising page for their son and sharing it with their community. It’s our way of inviting every family into the mission. Read more about the stipend program here.
